  • Legacy systems with poor or unstable interfaces raise integration cost; some workflows are gated on modernizing one connection point.
  • An intelligence layer inherits the data quality of the systems it reads — garbage in remains garbage, now faster.
  • This approach deliberately does not consolidate application sprawl; if the goal is fewer systems, that is a different program.
